Highly Recommend I booked a last minute trip with John Leech and very happy I did! Even in tough fishing conditions and a 100 plus boat tournament happening on the lake he still was able to put us on fish. Had a great time fishing and an even better time talking to John!

An awesome day on Lake Toho with bassonline.com guide and Captain John Leech January 2024 My wife had a business trip in the Orlando area so I tagged along and scheduled a trip with Capt. Big Bass, Super Fun We booked with Capt. John for a two and a half hour charter on 12/30/23. Aside from a super cold morning, we were on the hot bite within 20 mins. My wife and I caught between 6-7 fish each. A few of those were really nice at 5-6 lbs. John was a great communicator and patient with us as we typically ask lots of questions. We would definitely book with John again and look forward to coming back in March to try some top water. A great time and awesome outing. Thanks, S&T

2 hour trip with Captain John We had a great time with Captain John. It was one of the most relaxing times of our vacation. My son and daughter were both able to catch 5+ bass and John was great at teaching them how to hook them! Fun time.

Not being experienced fishermen, Capt. John was very helpful and patient with his guidance and explanations. We walked away Very happy and better equipped for our next excursion. Best fishing experience period! I just recently booked a four hour fishing trip with my dad. We had never gone fresh water fishing so we were a little inexperienced. Lake Toho with John Leech Took my two adult boys to lake Toho with Captain John Leech last week and we each caught about 12 fish most of them averaging 4 pounds with a couple 5 pounders. Caught more than we could count! Captain John Leech was an excellent guide for me and my wife. We’re relatively new to bass fishing and this was our first time fishing in the South. Captain John was good-natured, patient, and very willing to explain the “why’s and what’s “ of our 4-hour morning. We caught so many bass! We’ll definitely seek him out for our next trip, and probably try one of the other lakes John mentioned. Covid has really hurt these guides. So let them increase your skills (and braggin’ rights) while you help their livelihoods!

Captain John was good-natured, patient, and very willing to explain the “why’s and what’s “ of our 4-hour morning. We caught so many bass! We’ll definitely seek him out for our next trip, and probably try one of the other lakes John mentioned. Covid has really hurt these guides. Better than advertised Capt John Leach was great. He took us to his secret spot and the action didn’t stop all day. Although we stopped counting at some point, I estimate my Buddy and I caught around 50 bass. And these were 3-5 lbs, not dinks. Capt John knows what he’s doing and was gracious enough to share some great tips for even experienced anglers. He has a nice boat, good equipment and plenty of knowledge. Great day!

Two trips to Lake Toho Capt. John Leech is top of the line Been on two trips to Lake Toho with Captain John Leech and let me tell you he is a top-notch guide. Lake toho with Captain John Leech Captain Leech has taken me on 2 trips now. One in beautiful conditions in which we brought in 25 plus. Another in not great conditions and we brought in 10 plus. He does a great job putting you on fish and helping you with your techniques for catching them. He has a great sense of humor and very friendly and makes you feel comfortable on the water with him. Great fishing trip! Like master class in bass fishing. I've been fishing for largemouth bass for over 40 years... This trip was one of my best days ever. In spite of my years of fishing experience, I discovered just how much I have yet to learn while fishing with Capt John Leech. Father Daughter Fishing Trip Excellent trip! Capn John Leech provides a genuine fishing experience that includes knowledge of the Local Fishing Lakes that goes beyond generic fishing reports. My choice was lake Toho, he called me the night before and suggested Lake Butler and we were extremely satisfied. My daughter who had never been bass fishing, caught her first bass which was a 2 pounder! She is now an avid bass fisher as every bass she caught was over 2 lbs. We averaged 7 fish per hour totaling 28 for our 4 hour "run." Capn Leech has a way about him, that fishermen young and old, can appreciate. He's also conservation conscience, caring about the environment and the fish his passengers catch. His tutorial skills, teach the customers how to catch fish and release them without harming the fish. All 28 of our Bass were released "alive." Looking forward to another trip! Father Daughter Fishing Trip Excellent trip! Capn John Leech provides a genuine fishing experience that includes knowledge of the Local Fishing Lakes that goes beyond generic fishing reports. My choice was lake Toho, he called me the night before and suggested Lake Butler and we were extremely satisfied. My daughter who had never been bass fishing, caught her first bass which was a 2 pounder! She is now an avid bass fisher as every bass she caught was over 2 lbs. We averaged 7 fish per hour totaling 28 for our 4 hour "run." Capn Leech has a way about him, that fishermen young and old, can appreciate. He's also conservation conscience, caring about the environment and the fish his passengers catch. His tutorial skills, teach the customers how to catch fish and release them without harming the fish. All 28 of our Bass were released "alive." Looking forward to another trip! Highly recommended.

We ran out of bait twice! We were able to catch a lot of Bass and most over 6 lbs. my husband's fish was over 8 lbs and my biggest just over 7. Definitely a trip to remember!

The techniques are great After fishing with you, I took some of your advice. Downsized everything like you said, 10lb test with a 1/0 hook and caught three small ones (non-keepers) early in the morning then at about 5:30pm I caught this one on a fairly large shiner. Still, for a new moon and fairly low light conditions most of the day, considering all the cloud cover I thought I would've caught more, proving what you told me that some lakes are just set up to be more productive than others. Thanks!!
