Okeechobee Flats Bass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee has provided some of the best bass fishing in the state of Florida this season. Okeechobee Flats Bass Fishing has been the go-to method to catching the numbers.

Today, I had the pleasure to fishing with Jeff and his son Caleb. Traveling to Florida for its bass, they were ready to set the hook.

We ventured out of Clewiston and started throwing artificial baits early in the morning.

The wind was blowing, and the water was getting muddy. We were able to find some cleaner water.

We had a couple of bites early on, and then we took a break for lunch. Regrouping in Clewiston, we made a plan to fish Harney Pond.

Drifting the flats, Jeff picked up a couple of decent fish. Putting on some live shiners, the action picked up greatly.

At the first shiner spot, Caleb picked up a good 5 pound 2 ounce largemouth. Jeff and Caleb both picked off a couple more on the spot.

I had a great time with these gentlemen, and I am looking forward to fishing with them again.
