Hello this is Capt Mark Rose with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.

Fishing is about being versatile and making good decisions. You have to know what and where to throw things and more importantly when to make a vital change. Making Good Decisions Florida Fishing Lake Okeechobee was crucial to our success today.

The fishing on the South end of Lake Okeechobee is fantastic this time of year. On top of that, Shiner fishing is always the best method to catching more numbers and better quality largemouth bass.

We brought 6 dozen shiners out with us. We ran through those shiners like it was nothing. Shiner fishing is always a great way to have fun and catch a lot of fish.

Belle Glade has some great grass structure that holds solid largemouth. The biggest fish was 6 and a half pounds for Steve and Hayden caught a 5 and a half pound.

What a great weekend fishing with these fine gentlemen. I am looking forward to their return to this great lake.
