Lake Okeechobee Grass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing is one of the best outdoor activities you can partake in when traveling to Florida. Next time you are visiting Clewiston, make sure you experience what Lake Okeechobee has to offer. Enjoy Lake Okeechobee Grass Fishing for some of the BEST bass in the state.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Jack Robinson traveling from Pennsylvania. He was escaping the winter months and wanted to get out on Lake Okeechobee. Jack is a repeat of mine but has never been on Lake Okeechobee.

We fished the East Wall out of Clewiston. Our main focus was scattered grass humps which we knew was going to hold fish. In order to find them, we had to move around quite a bit. Once we did though, it was game on.

Jack caught 28 largemouth bass in his 6 hour fishing trip. The biggest fish weighed 6.5 pounds with a length of 22 inches. It was a beautiful fish and he was ecstatic to catch it. Jack is excited to come experience and explore this lake again in the future.

I look forward to fishing with Jack again whether on Lake Okeechobee, Lake Erie or for peacock bass in Naples. Don’t miss out on your bass fishing adventure here in Florida!
