Summertime Lunker Bass Fishing Trip

Summertime Lunker Bass Fishing Trip

Everyone hopes to come to Florida and get to fish for the largemouth bass of their dreams. They hope to catch that double-digit monster. We had a summertime lunker bass fishing trip on the Butler Chain of Lakes.

The Butler has been on fire lately with the quality of largemouth greatly exceeding expectations. I had the pleasure of fishing with Jeff Niblett. He was excited to get to experience the Butler Chain of Lakes.

Summer is not exactly the time of year you expect to catch the bass of your dreams but it surely can happen. Jeff set the hook into an absolute monster.

While fishing wild caught shiners, Jeff caught a 9 pound 12-ounce monster bass. He fought it really well, especially for the Butler Chain.

Bass on the Butler love to run deep and also come to the surface. This beautiful fish did a little of everything running 12 to 15 feet then coming to the surface.

He kept the line tight on the fish of his dreams and enjoyed every moment of the battle. This was a fish he will never forget and I loved seeing his excitement when he got the fish to the boat.

Jeff also set the hook into a variety of other quality largemouths with nothing coming close to this one in size.

He will be back for more incredible fishing action in the future right here in Central Florida.
