May Smallmouth Bass Fishing

Prescott Bay is a beautiful place to experience. Lake Erie is producing quality fishing trips as the water and weather continues to warm. May Smallmouth Bass Fishing is an adventure worth experiencing.

Today, I had the pleasure to fish with Dylan and Tyler traveling from St. Mary, PA. They travel to Florida for Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing and wanted to experience something new.

The wind was blowing today but we were able to find some quality smallmouth bass. We were throwing tubes, jerk baits and drop shot in deep and shallow water.

Ledges are focal points on the lake. It continues to hold the fish we are looking for. We caught about 20 smallmouth bass with the best being close to 3 pounds.

Water temperature in the bay is at 62 degrees and it is 59 degrees on the lake. As the weather begins to warm, the bass will continue to feed and bed.
