2025 Lake trip My friend Mark and I had another great couple days fishing with Captain Mark. Mark knows exactly what what the fish are doing and the tactics to catch them. I can't say enough about his ability to put you on fish. My friend and I both caught our personal best largemouth this year. This is our 7th year fishing with Captain Mark. We are already looking forward to the next trip

Captain Mark Shepard True Professional! That is what you’re getting when Capt Shepard takes you fishing. What a pleasure we had taking my 11 yr old grandson on a birthday bass fishing trip. The patience and knowledge Capt Shepard shared with my grandson after just a 4hr trip will stay with him for his lifetime of fishing. After 4 hrs of difficult fishing conditions but still managing some nice fights, Capt Mark said he wanted to extend our trip an additional hour to give my grandson a chance to catch a trophy fish. What a kind offer and WHAT A GREAT CALL! My grandson was able to cap off his birthday by catching a quality lake O largemouth that dragged him in and out of the weeds and had the whole boat yelling with excitement. Just a fantastic time! Captain Mark Shepard Caption Shepard worked hard on a very windy day and a bad moon and still put us on quality fish, caught some real nice fish in the 5-7 pound range in some poor conditions. Will definitely use Mark again under better conditions. Appreciate it Captain!

Mark took me and my buddy Bobby out today on lake Okechobee. Unbelievable trip, he put us on fish immediately, kept us on them for 8 hours. I caught my pb 8.1 lbs then caught a 6.4 lber as well. Very knowledgeable and great captain. We will definitely be back again.

Mark does it again I have fished with Mark probably 10 times.. Recently, Dec.13,14 and 15 ,,2024, I had the wonderful opportunity (again) of. fishing with Mark. He consistently found great fish for us ( including three 8 lb. Bass) The three day total was over 75 fish with many 7. ,6, and 5 pounders. 6 hours of great bass fishing!!!!! Fishing with Mark Shepard was a truly satisfying experience. We had tough windy condition and still managed to boat 12 bass. A day fishing Lake Okeechobee On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, Jim Robertson and I fished on Lake Okeechobee with Mark Shepard as our guide. We caught 31 large mouth bass, most in the 3-4 lb range. Mark's knowledge of the lake is exceptional. He is patient and a gentleman at all times. You can take your friends and family fishing with Mark and be assured of a terrific experience.

Two fabulous days Thoroughly enjoyed our two days with Captain Mark. We were both total novices with bass. We used artificial worm, fluke, poppers and live bait, under the guidance of a very knowledgeable and patient captain. Caught lots of very decent sized fish and had so much fun. Quite place for fishing. Nice new 2022 boat with 5 seats, we caught only 3 catfish and one bass for about 3 hours of fishing, but we had good experience. Thanks Captain Mark!

Big Wind - Big Bass A cold front came in right before the day trip I had scheduled months prior. Forecast of 15 to 25 mph winds. I was concerned the long awaited trip would be canceled. Contacted Mark and he was confident the trip would be on.

He was right. He was smart about not getting too far out and onto fish. His boat was amazing. Large Ranger that was the most stable, smooth running fishing boat I have ever been on. I never once felt we were in an unstable situation despite the high winds.

Mark got us onto big bass…every bass was the size you might catch once in a week in lakes in Canada. My forearms hurt after reeling in these bass!!

Mark has the boat, gear, and knowledge to put you in a position to catch amazing smallmouths. It’s up to the fisherman from there but he puts the odds of success in your favor!

Great Teacher and Guide My son and I came down in late July (not prime time for large mouth) and Captain Mark still put us on some fish. He is an expert guide and captain and is a patient teacher. Captain Mark knows every inch of that lake and was an absolute pleasure to be with. We will be booking a January trip right away.

Capt Mark puts you on fish! I called mark the night before I wanted to book a trip. Mark explained to me that Erie was slow at the time with very few fish being caught and recommended another body of water nearby. Boy was his recommendation right! It was nonstop action all day. If you want to catch fish and do it with comfort, then do it with mark and his 22 foot ranger. Smooth ride to the hole, boat handles chop in the water flawlessly and provides the best fishing platform of all bass boats. Book with capt mark you won’t regret it!

The perfect guys trip Had a guys trip, booked Captain Mark Shepard and captain Mark Rose. Both of these guys worked their butt off to keep us rolling in the fish. Both days we caught 40 fish per boat in January! We pulled tons of 3-4 pounders. Several 5 pounders and a couple of 6. These guys even stayed an extra hour on the last day cause we were still hot. Fishing is boring catching is fun, come have fun with these guys, you won’t regret it.

Two delightful days We had two delightful days fishing with Captain Mark Shepard on Lake Okeechobee. Captain Mark was on time early in the mornings and got us on the water and fishing in the right spots quickly. It was very obvious that Captain Mark knew the lake and the good fishing spots. There had been a big bass fishing tournament the weekend before we went but he was still able to put us on a lot of fish. This was an early Christmas present for my step-son, Thomas, and we both had a blast. Unfortunately for Thomas, I took his money for the biggest fish, ha, ha. I would recommend Captain Mark to anyone who wants to be successful bass fishing the lake.

Captain Mark Sheppard Captain Mark Sheppard knows where the fish are,for sure.! Not only is he a great fisherman who knows the lake, he makes you feel comfortable. He's an easy going guy, which makes for a nice relaxing, yet exciting when the fish are biting.

Captain Mark Sheppard was the best! Put us on fish during a very windy day. He knew the sheltered coves and grassy areas. We started catching fish almost the minute we dropped in a line. Captain Mark was great to talk to and gave us advice on catching the clunkers. I highly recommend him and certainly have a return trip!

My husband and I came down for a two day fishing trip with Captain Mark Shepard at Lake Okachobee. The weather wasn’t the best but we had a blast. Mark called to talk with us the day prior. He picked us up at the hotel each morning. He took pictures of the fish we caught and sent them to us at the end of each day. We HIGHLY recommend!

Bass fishing at it`s best Captain , Mark put me on the bass . Had a great 6 hour trip caught 12 bass and 6 other fish . I fish a lot but you can always learn from a pro. Bring a camera ,sun screen ,sun glasses and a big hat. Get ready to have fun.

Fishing Trip - Capt Mark Rogers Capt Mark and I fished Lake Okeechobee on July 25th. Yes, it was hot. Yes, it was off season for fishing in Florida. Yes, I had a great time and a very successful fishing trip. Mark did a great job of keeping me in great water all day. He provided the tackle/baits that were needed. He had tons of knowledge about the lake and the fishing techniques. Even in the heat of July, I still caught plenty of fish including a 6+ lb. Largemouth Bass. Thanks for a great time!

Fantastic Fishing Day! Had a great day fishing Lake Okeechobee with Captain Mark Rose. He put us on a hot spot and we caught a tonne of fish all day! I think between the two of us, we caught 40-50 fish, including a 9.4 lb whopper! We also missed landing at least another 15-20 fish...it was incredible!

Good Time Booked a fishing trip to celebrate my father and son’s birthday. The booking process was easy and they were able to accommodate 4 people which is not easy on a bass boat and and worked with our needs. The captain was knowledgeable, friendly and tried his best to make sure we had the best experience. Although the fish weren’t biting as much as we hoped, 17 in 4.5 hours kept us happy. I would strongly recommend Captain George!

Dream come true Fishing Lake Okeechobee for giant largemouth bass has been a bucket list item of mine for a long time. Our guide Mark Shepard, was very honest and realistic of slow fishing conditions but gave us his very best effort and put me on an Okeechobee giant. It was a dream come true for me. Great Okeechobee Bass Fishing Trip We visited during late July/early August, which as we learned is also the toughest fishing of the year on Okeechobee due to the heat. In spite of the tough conditions, our guides Mark & Dave were able to put both boats onto great fish. We caught in excess of 30 bass, and were even able to land one over 5lbs! Incredible trip, great service, knowledgeable guides, great gear and boats.

We had a great time!! The guides put us on the fish. We fished Lake Okeechobee. Caught around 40 largemouth bass. The guides have nice boats and tackle.

Challenging but rewarding Captain Mark Shepard was great, he knew I preferred to fish artificial baits, and equipped with that information, he navigated us into the grass where the morning bite was good. When that began to taper, he was quick to move our location in an attempt to find the fish amidst the glaring mid day sun. He was a great source of knowledge and had no qualms about sharing it (I asked A LOT of questions). To wrap up the day, we spent the last hour or so winding down fishing shiners, while being accompanied by a family of Manatees, who seemed to be intrigued by our presence, as they were within inches of the boat at times. Challenging but rewarding Captain Mark Rogers was great, he knew I preferred to fish artificial baits, and equipped with that information, he navigated us into the grass where the morning bite was good. When that began to taper, he was quick to move our location in an attempt to find the fish amidst the glaring mid day sun. He was a great source of knowledge and had no qualms about sharing it (I asked A LOT of questions). To wrap up the day, we spent the last hour or so winding down fishing shiners, while being accompanied by a family of Manatees, who seemed to be intrigued by our presence, as they were within inches of the boat at times. The day climaxed when I landed a monster 7.5 pounder! I will not hesitate to book with Mark again in the future.

Excellent Clewiston bass fishing Captain Mark Rogers is the absolute best captain. Put us on fish all day long with some quality ones as well. Will do it again for sure.

Great fishing Lake O My wife, 2 teenage sons and I had a great afternoon fishing Lake Okeechobee with Captain Mark Rogers. He had a nice boat that fit us all and he was very fun to fish with. We fish for Bass in Michigan, but mainly with artificial bait. We fished Lake O with Live bait. It was different, but fun. Capt Mark took time to teach us how to hook the big bass. We fished multiple spots to keep the action going. We caught enough to make us want to go back and we will definitely go with Capt Mark again.

Best guide ever On January 18, I got to fish with Captain Mark Shepard. The weather was not good that day with wind chills in the 20's and winds to 25 mph. Capt. Mark came to fish dressed like he had an upcoming audition for "Life Below Zero." We discussed not going out, but Mark was determined to make his customers happy with the fishing experience. With nobody else on the lake or in the boat launch parking lot, we went fishing. As expected, I didn't catch as many fish as normal, but nothing stopped Mark from making sure we caught some. I cannot ask for a better guide or a commitment to serve a paying customer. The whole organization, Bass-on-line, and its captains just can't be beaten. Capt Mark Shepard My wife booked a trip for her Father and myself for his birthday. Capt Mark was fantastic! Even though the weather has been cold, he found the bass! He was extremely knowledgeable about his job and very passionate. He made sure we had the best possible time, and directed us as to what would end up being a great fishing day for bass! Cold Front not a problem. On the morning of my trip it was only 41* even a bit chilly of this Minnesotan. I fished with Capt Mark Rogers. He was everything one could ask for. On time, very friendly, his boat and gear were in perfect working condition and he put me on fish. We fished with live shiners something I have never done before. This also was my first time in Florida and a first for the BigO. Mark put me on fish right away. I caught a lot of bass and I also caught a 5 lb. catfish. My biggest bass was a nice 5+ not what I was looking for but two of the fish I lost bringing them to the boat were exactly what I was looking for. Mark did everything in his power to try and get the monster I was looking for. I had a wonderful time Mark was very knowledgeable about the lake and the surrounding area. I didn't know they burned the cane fields before they harvested. I would recommend Capt Mark Rogers for your fishing adventure. I will sure ask for him on future adventures.

amazing two days of fishing!!! Captain Mark Shepard gave my two 14 year old boys two amazing full days of fishing! They caught so many fish down in Clewiston Florida that we lost count! Captain Mark kept these boys laughing and entertained and gave them 100% of his attention! Both boys caught their personal best 8 1/2 and 7 3/4 lb bass! I highly recommend bassonline! Best Guide Bass Online's Mark Shepard is the best guide I have ever used. I have been fishing for 65 years. I've been using guides for 30 years. Mark is by far the best. He knows Lake Okeechobee like it was his living room. When conditions are bad Mark will figure out something different to find the fish. Last week I fished with Mark on Okeechobee for 3 days. I had a friend with me for 2 of the days. In total my friend and I caught 202 bass in 3 days. The biggest was 8 pounds and we had several 5-7 pounders. There was a big tournament on the lake on the first day. Most of the tournament anglers were fishless. Mark figured out what to do and we caught 57 bass that day when most people never got a bite. Too bad we weren't entered in the tournament.

Okeechobee 6 hour fishing with Captain Mark Shepherd everything went off on time, equipment was up to date and performed well. Our guide, Captain Mark Shepherd put us on big bass in hot August and we caught several fish, which is unusual in August. Captain Shepherd worked very hard at baiting and netting our catches. I heartily recommend him for a successful fishing venture.

Captain Rob Alfano This was my second trip to Okeechobee this month. We spent the first full day and the 1/2 day fishing out of Clewiston. It was good fishing we caught some nice 4 pounders and a lot of 2-3 pounders. The last day (after a front moved trough) we fished out of Okeechobee. We caught several 4 to 4-1/2 pounders and a 7 pounder. we boated 50 bass the last day even having to go back and get more shiners. This trip was so much fun and Captain Rob is the BEST!!! Good 4 hour Tour We had Captain Mark Shepard and he was great. His boat was great too! He put us on the fish right away and we caught some decent fish. The service is great but you also have to factor in fishing license for each person as well as live bait. 6 dozen shiners are not cheap. All in all my wife and my son (me too) had a great time. We did have to drive about an hour to get to the fishing. We met at the marina and parking was perfect. Captain Mark recommended a small town restaurant that was good.

PB (Personal Best) I’m an avid Bass angler, own a bass boat, and fish 2-3x a week. My intentions on booking a trip to Lake Okeechobee this winter were to #1 have a memorable experience, #2 learn new techniques and #3 hopefully land a new PB (Personal Best) at one of the ‘hottest’ lakes in the country! Well fortunately all 3 expectations were met and exceeded as my father and I had a memory-filled and exciting 2 days with Captain Mark Rogers. His knowledge and expertise on the lake showed as he found us quite a few honey holes where we would pull one after another bass out of. It seemed like the spots he took us to kept replenishing and the fish would not stop biting! My dad was able to land his biggest largemouth bass ever at 7.0 lbs and also stuck a 6.4 and several 4-pound class fish! He was using live shiners which were like throwing out a magic bait because every cast the fish would just destroy it! I myself used artificial and even though the bite was a little slow after a major cold front, Mark was still able to get me on fish and I even stuck a monster 8+ pounder, but unfortunately lost her at the boat! All in all, this was an experience of a lifetime and I would recommend Captain Mark Rogers to anyone looking to have a fun-filled day, learn new techniques, be assured of catching fish and have a fishing trip with lasting memories.

Sunday morning you could tell they were pleased, no one really wanted to leave. I hope your travels home went well and you were very successful in the tournament on Sunday.

CLASS ACT!!! WOW! Let me put the bottom line up top; you guys are the most professionally run guiding service I have ever used! I have used your services twice in the last two years and you keep getting better and better. It all started with your web page and how easy it was to request a trip. Then within 24hrs, you contacted me to ask questions about what I wanted from my trip. I booked a trip for the 13th of February. I talked directly to Mark the week leading into the trip and he gave me all the details that I needed for the trip. I talked to Mark the day before the trip and he said that the wind and cold front was going to shut the fishing down and asked if I still wanted to go. I only had the 13th to fish and I said "hell yeah". We decided to meet at the marina at 7:00 am. I arrived at 6:45 am and Mark was already there and ready to go. I bought my license and we were on our way. The weather was 38 degrees and the wind was blowing 15 to 20. Mark stated again that he would give it everything he had but I should not expect much. Once we got to our fishing spot on the very nicely equipment Ranger boat he handed me a G-Loomis rod with a Curado reel; not some cheap stuff like I have had with other guides. We started throwing some expensive swimbaits, 5 dollars plus a bag, not the cheap ones that I have used down there before. I asked why and he said that he will throw whatever lures will give his clients the best chance to catch fish, not matter the cost of the bait. That is rare! The water temp had dropped 14 degrees from just earlier in the week. I am a tournament angler and I know how tough it is to fish with 20MPH winds and a major cold front. We proceeded to catch over 50 fish and the best five went 29lbs+. To put this into perspective, there were two big tournaments that day and the winning weight was 18lbs, then it dropped way off. We had an 8+, 7, and a 6 pounder! Pretty dang good for a crappy weather day. I have never fished with someone that was a great teacher like Mark. We found a fish on the bed and he showed me some techniques for catching a bedded fish that I will never share with anyone. That is how great this guy is! I know we used 5+ bags of the swimbaits (30 dollars worth). While I watched another guide for a different company (one that I used about three years ago and was very disappointed with), throw a cheap plastic and not catch any fish. The cheap plastic bait works a lot of the time down on the O but not in the conditions that we were fishing. Mark made adjustments while the other guide kept the bait that didn't work. I had a great experience fishing with your company and I will use no other service when I come to Florida. Lori is great, the website is great, and Mark Sheppard is awesome. If we didn't catch a fish that day, I would have had a great time anyway. Mark is just a great person to get to know! 10 pound bass Mark, Wanted to say thanks for the trip last week down on Okeechobee… Had a great time even though fishing was a little slow… I will be back in a few months and will defiantly try again for the 10 pound bass… I will send you an email as when I am coming down again… Thanks for the time…

Dream come true Fishing Lake Okeechobee for giant largemouth bass has been a bucket list item of mine for a long time. Our guide Mark Shepard, was very honest and realistic of slow fishing conditions but gave us his very best effort and put me on an Okeechobee giant. It was a dream come true for me. We will be back in December.
