Captain Ken Walker had the pleasure of fishing with Tim and Lisa. They were traveling from Chandler, Arizona to Florida on vacation and wanted to experience Florida Bass Fishing. There is no better place to do that than on the Rodman Reservoir. The action was hot and heavy from the first cast to the last.
Tim caught the first bass of the day and Lisa followed right behind him. Lisa’s bass weighed in at 6 pounds 2 ounces. It was a beautiful bass to get them excited for what the day had to offer. As the charter went on, the bass begins to bite even better. Lisa increased her size catch by 2 pounds later in the day. She brought in a trophy largemouth bass weighing 8 pounds 2 ounces. Tim caught the biggest fish of the day weighing in at 8 pounds 8 ounces. They caught a total of 12 largemouth bass and couldn’t have been more excited.
Tim and Lisa both caught their personal best largemouth bass on this fishing trip. Next year, they will be back for more action. Captain Ken is looking forward to getting them on the water next time!
Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain David Lang has a successful day on the water. He had the pleasure of fishing with Tony and his Uncle. Many may not know that the Rodman Reservoir is a fantastic fishery for crappie as well. The Oklawaha River or Rodman Reservoir produced big time for these two great men.
It is always a fun day on the water when everyone is catching fish all trip long. Tony and his Uncle caught 45 black crappies. Crappies are a great fish to bring home and put on the table. They kept 17 of the biggest fish.
If you are looking for something fun to do that is different than your normal bass fishing trip, this can be a great alternative. Come out and have a great time with your family catching some great table fare.

It was not long after this charter that Captain Ken was back on the water. This time he had the pleasure of fishing with David and his buddies Dave and Bill. They were in search of some excellent bass fishing and they got it. The action was strong yet again from the start to the finish. Rodman is a very interesting fishery where you may not get big numbers but you are always destined a trophy-sized fish.
David and his buddies caught 10 beautiful largemouth bass on wild-caught live shiners. The structure and vegetation on the Rodman Reservoir allow for the growth of big bass. When you put their natural bait in this structure, you are destined to land a GIANT bass! Bill hooked into an 8 pound 2-ounce largemouth that gave him a fight he will not forget.
