MJK North America Inc. from Illinois visited Orlando, Florida for their annual convention.
This year instead of Golfing, they started a new tradition ” Weftec Fishing Tournament”. The Group transferred by bus over to Lake Toho bright and early to compete for the biggest, the most individually caught and most TEAM weight for three fish.
Bob Langie AKA the” bass man “contacted us to arrange this Bass Fishing Adventure in Orlando. The Group had six of Orlando’s Top notch bass fishing guides waiting with bass boats loaded with fishing gear & tackle, just ready to bring in the fish.
It was a gorgeous day, very warm with little cloud coverage typical October Florida day. Blue bird days makes it tough, but our guides got the job done. Put them on bass and well the rest was up to them to reel’em in!
The Group fished four hours with only keeping the largest three fish per boat at a time. They were very competitive with each other, wanting to bring home the bragging rights and trophy. At 11:15am all boats had to be back for weighing in the fish. These guys were hot and hungry and ready to show off their catch. After weighing all the bass on digital scales, “no mickey mouse stuff here.” The largest bass weighted in at 6.8 lbs.
After lunch we arranged an awesome lunch (subs, chips and desert) and lots of cold drinks. After a refreshing lunch, it was time for Bob’s award ceremony. All held under a pavilion at Kissimmee Park.
Captain Al Laman was the top guide for bring in the most total weight and landed the second biggest bass. Captain Rick Gibbs boat caught the biggest Fish.
It was a great group, everyone boated fish except one person..oops. That’s only because the big one got away!
We welcome Groups to come enjoy a relaxing fishing excursion with us. Transportation can be arranged, great lunches, award ceremony and even arrange a tournament….and they think golf is competitive, wait till you experience this!
