4 hours with Victor and his grandson Brad on Lake Okeechobee

Hey Everybody, this is Capt Brian Brown with your December Lake Okeechobee fishing report.

I was out this morning on my first day trip for 4 hours with Victor and his grandson Brad on Lake Okeechobee. We went out of the north end of the Lake and got our bait for Garrard’s bait and tackle. Only got a few dozen shiners because they also wanted to spend a little time doing artificial fishing.

We headed out and set up on one of my favorite main lake points and got lucky some schoolers moved in, and we burned through those two dozen shiners pretty quick when those fish started busting the surface. It was pretty good. I think they caught a most minor 18 or 20 fish on their 24 shiners…now that’s good fishing.

So then they wanted to go artificial fishing. After that quick start, things were a bit tougher. We did get a couple of fish on the jerkbaits and one on the top water, and I believe we had one on a rattletrap. They had a fantastic time, just a great time watching the family and making memories. They take pictures to send back and know they will cherish those pics for the rest of their lives.

Just Another Good Day on the Water

The weather was perfect this morning, couldn’t ask for anything better. A great after-Christmas trip for Victor and Brad.

But they had a fantastic father-son time out there today. It’s just a blast when you see everyone having a great time. Probably the best part of this job is and time with great families and watching them make memories. Spending quality time with great people was great fishing, the weather turned out fantastic, and what Christmas presents those guys!

Anybody looking to get out with her fathers, sons, or daughters is suitable for the whole family. Look us up at BASSONLINE.COM if we can get you out on the water and hopefully get you a trip of a lifetime. Till next time, tight lines from Capt Brian Brown.
