The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is continuing to work on a “Long-Term Black Bass Management Plan” and is still interested in your input.
Our first meeting was June 15, 2010 at the Florida Bass Conservation Center & Hatchery. A great basic model of the plan was designed and suggested to the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission. Objectives were discussed and there was an overall consensus we are headed in the right direction for the future of Florida freshwater fishing.
Our second meeting is tentatively scheduled for September in the Orlando area to continue with the next steps of the plan!
If you have a stakeholder group and would like to be part of developing a black bass management plan and participate in the process contact the Florida Freshwater Fishing Coalition. FLFFC – “If you use it, you should help protect it”
