Captain John Leech had the pleasure of fishing with long-time repeat clients, Tommy Dorsey Jr, Sr, and their good friend Mike. They are local residents to Central Florida always looking to have a great time on the water. Tommy Jr is Captain John’s dentist and loves coming out Lake Toho Bass Fishing.
It is always a blast getting out with these guys. They are always poking around with each or engaging in competition. Captain John loves sitting back and enjoying the company. The fishing was great on this trip. Conditions paired up perfectly for a productive day on the water.
As of current, Lake Toho is fishing well. If you come into the right pod of fish, you can catch some big numbers. Now, generally is not the time for big numbers. The largemouth bass is in a transition mode. In a short time, you will start to see better numbers and quality of fish.
Tommy Jr, Sr, and Mike all had a great time fishing. Most of their fish weighed in around 2.5-3 pounds. The biggest fish caught on this trip weighed 4 pounds. When looking to come out bass fishing, you can expect some solid fish this time of year.
Captain John is looking forward to getting back out on the water with these guys again soon!
It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Brent Nelson explored what Lake Toho had to offer. It was actually a two boat trip with Captain John. Captain Brent had the pleasure of fishing with Tom and his nephew Brian. Captain John enjoyed fishing with Tom’s cousin and Tom’s son.
They were traveling locally from Orlando, FL looking to experience Kissimmee, FL. It was a beautiful sunny day with calm winds. Generally, this could slow down the bite but it fired it up on this trip. Tom and his family enjoyed putting Florida largemouth in the boat.
They caught between 30-40 largemouth bass on this fishing trip. Conditions changed that promoted such a great bite. If you catch over 20-30 largemouth bass on a fishing trip, you had an exceptional day on the water. Lake Toho, if you hit it right, can produce great fishing like this.
