September Okeechobee Bass Fishing
The south east end of Lake Okeechobee is a truly unique place to come explore and visit. Slims Fish Camp is a great place to stay while in search for some excellent bass fishing. September Okeechobee bass fishing has been producing some quality bass and good numbers.
Captain Brian Brown had the pleasure of fishing with Grant. Grant works for Grates Airlines out of Dubai and was on a layover in South Florida. While he was here, he wanted to get out on the water and catch some Florida largemouth bass. Lake Okeechobee was the best location to do so.
Slims Fish Camp is located in Belle Glade, FL. It is a quite camp at the gateways to some of the best bass fishing in the state. Grant adventured out of Slims on a 6 hour fishing charter. One of the goals was to focus in on the largemouth with artificial baits. Captain Brian was the guide to fish with in order to get this done.
Grant had a great day on the water. The main focus on this fishing trip was scattered hydrilla. If you throw swim jigs, spinner baits and lipless crank baits around these structures you can most certainly find some quality bass. Grant landed some big numbers with 5 bass in the weight range of 3.5 pounds. Those are some nice fish for these late summer months.
Weather is warm and the sun is shining. Luckily, that doesn’t stop the bass from biting. Lake Okeechobee is looking great and the fishing is only going to get better. Grant is looking forward to his next opportunity to get out on the water and go fishing. Don’t miss out on your adventure next time visiting Florida!
