Boy Scout Cut Fishing

Every month of the year changes the fishing conditions here on Lake Okeechobee. In order to be up-to-date with how the conditions change, you have to be on the water. The South end of Lake Okeechobee has been producing amazing fishing. Come enjoy a Boy Scout Cut Fishing trip next time visiting!

I had the pleasure of fishing with Chris traveling from Wisconsin. He wanted to experience what Lake Okeechobee had to offer. This was his first time fishing with our professional captains here at Bass Online.

We adventured out for two great days of fishing. Each day proposed different fishing conditions as well. The first day was calm but the second day was windy. Wind can definitely help the bite depending on how open your fishing spot is.

Wild caught live shiners were the most effective bait on this trip. Chris caught 60 largemouth bass in two days. Nothing beats the action here on Lake Okeechobee when it comes alive. Chris had several quality bass ranging from 5-6 pounds.

We had a great time out on the water and I am looking forward to fishing with Chris again in the future. Don’t miss out on the Lake Okeechobee action next time visiting Florida. Belle Glade is located perfectly for a quick travel from West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale.
