Florida Sunshine Fishing Adventure

Florida Sunshine Fishing Adventure

Many people visit and travel to South Florida for the beaches and the sunshine. Meanwhile, they can experience a Florida Sunshine Fishing Adventure of a lifetime that they did not know was possible.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Nathan and his wife Dawn. Nathan is a Lieutenant Colonel and Donna is a Contractor in the United States Air Force. They are traveling from Oklahoma to take a vacation from the base.

Lake Ida is a great fishing destination to experience if you love the outdoors. We had an awesome day of fishing with a lot of action from quality peacock bass.

Nathan and Dawn caught 30 plus peacock bass. Nathan caught his personal best weighing 5 pounds 8 ounces and Dawn caught hers weighing 4 pounds 8 ounces. Most of the other fish were in the range of 2 to 3 pounds. Also, largemouth bass and Mayan cichlids were caught throughout the trip.

The day was calm with light scattered showers. The water temperature was at 90 degrees and the air temperature was at 100. It was a hot day but the fish were biting.

Florida Fishing was a treat for them after a long Disney Cruise to the Islands. We had big fish on that came off but it kept the trip exciting and fun.

We had a great day and I am looking forward to fishing with them again next time they are visiting South Florida.

Hope to see you on the water next time!
