Honey Hole Bass Fishing
Honey Hole Bass Fishing has been a delight this season. It is incredibly important to understand where the fish will reside. Both Lake Ida and Lake Okeechobee have produced amazing outdoor adventures.
Lake Ida is home to the BEST peacock bass fishing in Palm Beach County. I had the pleasure of guiding the Indiano Family from Rochester, NY.
They own a Chevrolet dealership and wanted to come to Florida for some fun in the sun. They caught about 25 peacock bass. We could not land into any big ones today. Most of our fish were in the 2 to 3 pound range.
Lake Okeechobee is the Bass Capital of the World and produced an amazing trip the next day after my peacock trip on Lake Ida.
The winds were blowing and the water levels are consistently dropping. Sandy Flaster and Lou are both back with me again. It was a slow start but with a crucial move, we found the honey hole.
Even though the water was low on my spot, we were able to find some quality largemouth bass in numbers. 5 dozen shiners went by really quick on this trip.
We were catching cookie cutter 5 pounders back to back. It was an incredible trip and one I will not forget.
I am looking forward to fishing with both groups again and cannot wait to see you out on the water.
