Late Spring Cold Front Bass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee is one of the best lakes to fish for largemouth bass. Many people travel to Florida to experience what the Lake has to offer. We had a Late Spring Cold Front Bass Fishing Trip which was unusual for this time of year.

Today, I had the pleasure to fish with Steve and Brett traveling from Virginia.

We had a great day out on the water. A cold front moved in overnight and dropped the water temperature down almost 10 degrees.

The bite did not slow down though. We caught a lot of numbers with no big ones in the boat. Steve and Brett caught about 25 fish in the short trip. The best fish being in the 4 pound range with the rest cookie cutter 2 to 3 pounders.

The drop in water levels has made the water temperature sensitive to changes in air temperature.

I am looking forward to fishing with them again in the future to create more memories, one fish at a time!
