Great Day Okeechobee Bass Fishing

April is the time of year that the water temperature begins to rise and the bass begin to bite. Today was a Great Day Okeechobee Bass Fishing.

This morning I had the pleasure to fish with Barrett and his buddy Eric. The bite has been really steady out of Slims Fish Camp right now.

Overcast conditions made the day cooler with light winds. The bite was a little slow to start but it turned on very quickly.

As we put fish in the boat, the more and more we laughed. We ended up with a really nice largemouth bass weighing 6 pounds. Also, they caught multiple 3 and 4 pound largemouth.

In the afternoon, I had the pleasure to fish with Robert and his son Ben. Ben really wanted to start out with artificial and away we went.

Throwing around swim jigs and chatter baits, we picked up a few fish here and there.

The bite really turned on when they made the switch to wild caught shiners. They produced the quality they were looking for as well as multiple double hookups. It was a Great Day Okeechobee Bass Fishing.
