Florida Fishing For Miami Peacock Bass

Hello this is Capt Robert Miley here with your fishing report for Lake Ida.

I had the opportunity to fish with Jim from Maine. Jim is escaping the 4 feet of snow that just fell. There is no better way to avoid a snow storm like going Florida Fishing For Miami Peacock Bass.

I captured a Facebook Live footage of him holding up the 5 fish stringer he caught. It weighed close to 23 pounds. He caught about 10 peacock bass and 5 largemouths, with 2 largemouth bass over 4 pounds and 3 peacocks over 3 pounds.

We really had a blessed day. Most of the fish were caught with artificial jerk bait. Prager custom jerk baits are what I use to catch these peacocks in Miami. You have to have the right color.

The trip was a great success. Jim had an awesome day out with me. The scenery and Florida’s wildlife added to the trip. He caught his personal best peacock bass and is really happy with our results for the day.

Until next time, this is Capt. Robert Miley.
