Jay Fox Family Dec 09 3.Jay Fox Family Dec 09.

We all know when the cold fronts come you have great days and  not so great
days. Well today was a extra great day for the Fox family.

The day started with the first bait in the water getting hit before the second bait got to
settled in the water. We had two boats fishing on Lake Toho for a total of 40 + fish.

A nice 9 lb. large-mouth Florida stain blank bass made up the kicker fish, followed by a 8lb beast and good looking 6.5lb trophy.

Not a bad day for a cold front!

We appreciate your business and look forward to fishing with you in the future.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Fantastic Father and Son Orlando Fishing Trip

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

seankentjune9-lake-toho

Hi to all the Bass Online Fishing Outfitters Guys and Girls,

My name is Sean Kent, and on June 9, 2009 my son (7) seven year old Jacob and I had a half day trip with Captain John. Our morning fishing trip on Lake Toho could not have been any more perfect then it was. My son had only fished for trout in a small pond where we live in PA. He has caught some good size trout for his age group. This trip was his introduction into Bass fishing, and I was looking forward to seeing him catch some largemouth bass. I was not expecting him to catch the size of Bass that he did.

His first Bass was approximately 8lbs and his fourth fish of the morning was a trophy 11 pounder. I was so proud to see him fight the fish all the way to the boat and then when the Bass was in the boat for him to turn to me and say “that is a huge one, I won mine is the biggest” during the same time he was bring in the Big One, I was bringing in an 8 pounder of my own.

Since the day ended till the trip home on the 13th he has not stopped talking about how he wants to be a fishing captain just like Captain John. My son and I had a great time and we plan on returning and having Captain John take us on another great trip. Our next trip will have to include my father inlaw who is an avid hunter and fisherman who needs to see what it is like to catch an absolute giant of a Bass.

Thank you for a great trip and a fantastic bonding moment with my son that I will never forget and I am sure he won’t either. Captain John I look forward to doing this again next time I am in the Central Florida area.

Thanks
Sean Kent

Disney & Bass Fishing in Orlando, Florida
Disney & Bass Fishing in Orlando, Florida

Ask any 10-year-old and they will assure you that Walt Disney World is the capital of Florida. For most families with kids or teens, this attraction is the No. 1 priority when visiting Florida. But it will take more than a weekend (or even a week) to cover Disney’s 47-square-mile kingdom. To make the most of your time, Disney has a free DVD vacation planner to help you map out the perfect trip.

“Most people don’t realize that Disney World is more than just the Magic Kingdom, says Dave Herbst, Walt Disney media spokesperson. “We actually have four theme parks the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom two water parks Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Downtown West End, Marketplace and Pleasure Island.

If you do plan to spend the majority of your vacation at Disney World, you will save time and money by staying at one of the 25 onsite hotels, which range in price and style from affordable to luxurious. Staying onsite offers several advantages: customized ticket packages, meal plans, hassle-free transportation between hotels and parks, and extended hours at the parks.

For a unique vacation experience, try Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge. This luxury accommodation is surrounded by a 33-acre savannah with more than 30 species of African wildlife that can be viewed from your private balcony.

Some of the fun educational activities offered at the Lodge include animal tracking and safaris, African crafts and games, and folktales told nightly around the outdoor Arusha Rock fire pit. At Bomo Flavors of Africa, a family-friendly buffet offering breakfast and dinner, happy vacationers can experience cuisine from 50 African countries. Adults will enjoy the AAA Four-Diamond Jiko, The Cooking Place, which boasts the worlds largest selection of South African wines, as well as excellent multicultural cuisine.

Downtown Orlando is home to the Orlando Science Center with multiple floors of hands-on exhibits for kids, giant-screen films and the largest refractor telescope in Florida. And if you happen to be in town during basketball season, get tickets to see the NBAs Orlando Magic.

Interested in Biblical history? Orlando has a very unique theme park that will take you back in time 2,000 years. The Holy Land Experience explores the ancient city of Jerusalem through biblical exhibits, models and performances.

While Orlando boasts 52 million square feet of retail shopping and nine world-class malls, for kid-friendly shopping that will earn you a parent-of-the-year award, visit the 4,400-square-foot, free-standing LEGO Imagination Center and the largest Disney character store on earth, both located at Downtown Disney. Grab lunch at Bahama Breeze Island Grill and enjoy a tropical setting with an outstanding menu of fresh Caribbean-inspired dishes for adults and kids. Several of Floridas state parks (161 in total) are within easy driving distance of Orlando and offer a variety of activities for outdoor enthusiasts. Blue Spring State Park, with the largest spring on St. Johns River, is a designated Manatee Refuge and winter home (mid-November to March) for a growing number of West Indian Manatees. Bring a picnic lunch and cool off in the 72-degree spring where you can swim, snorkel or scuba dive. Cabins are also available for overnight stays.

You don’t have to go all the way to the Everglades to experience Floridas wetlands and wildlife. Central Florida Lakes with Several Bass from 7 to 10 lbs.

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Lake Toho and other Central Florida lakes have had there hot moments with bass up to 10 1/2 pounds over the past couple of weeks after a spotty stretch in May and early June.

Try Lake Toho, Lake Kissimmee and Cypress Lake for quality largemouth bass. Morning bite, useing plastic toads near reeds and hydrilla at first light. Zara Spook topwater lures will also produce big strikes. Switch to spinnerbaits with wind and plastic worms at mid-morning. The bite has been off in the heat of the day but picks back up in the afternoon and through the first few hours of darkness if you are interested in night fishing. Switching back to plastic toads and topwaters during this time will create more bites. . . . Use crickets, redworms and small poppers for bluegills, shellcrackers and bream.

Tournament fishermen and our guides are targeting pockets of clean water with fresh green hydrilla in the open water. There are massive spraying operation all over the lake, so stay away from the killed or freshly sprayed hydrilla. This pattern has lead to boating a large number of bass and several trophy bass 7 to 10 pounds. The bigger fish seem to be stacking up when you find the hydrilla clump there living in.  When fishing these clumps, searching with plastic worms seem to be the hot thing. The bigger the better, a 10″ or even 12″ worn seems to be the hot ticket in dark colors, like black and junebug.

Other variety affective techniques in the hydrilla include – lipless crankbaits, Horny Toads and topwater plugs. Some other bass are coming off of casting swim-baits. Seem the average bass is larger on swimbaits, but at times so are the strikes.

If I had to guess I would say, that the fresh green hydrilla is holding 50 percent of the fish in most of the Central Florida lakes right now.

If you are interested in learning some of these techniques or going out with some of our fishing guides that are catching all of these big Florida bass, give us a call 888 629-BASS.
