Allen & Tom Elia Bass Fishing Florida Everglades

On April 15. 2009, I had the pleasure of taking out Allen & son Tom in Florida Everglades for some Largemouth Bass fishing.  They were referred to us from one of our wonderful repeat customers Bill McDermott.  The father and son were just getting the hang of casting artificial lures made by JDC Baits,  when Tom casting  a shaky head worm landed a six pound Bass.  That is what makes our Fishing Adventures a great success and most important a rememberable day for father and son.  The Elia family caught over (37) fish in four hours, can’t wait for Tom to break his record next summer.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

South Florida Bass Fishing Guides

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

The South Florida area is one of the hottest spots in the country for vacationing and bass fishing. For proof of this, you don’t have to look any further than the amount of bass fishing guides in the area. There are plenty of South Florida bass fishing guides, and each one promises an enjoyable fishing trip.

If you are an experienced angler and know your way around a body of water, chances are you won’t need the services of a fishing guide. There are plenty of prime bass spots that can offer great fishing in South Florida.

South Florida Fishing Guides

The number of South Florida bass fishing guides is due to the popularity of this area as a vacation spot. These services are great for someone who is in the Naples, Ft Myers, Palm Beach, Ft Lauderdale and Miami area for a family getaway or even a business trip. They are also great for people who are not exactly experienced in bass fishing. Hawghunter.net, south Florida’s largest bass fishing guide service offers guaranteed catches with it’s industry trend setting fishing policy, NO FISH, No PAY! Many of the other services will charge you regardless whether you catch fish. That fact alone tells you how confident the guides at Hawghunter.net are that you will catch fish with them.

You don’t have to drain your pocket book to enjoy these fishing trips either. Many of the South Florida bass fishing guides offer trips that are quite affordable. An eight hour trip for two people can be purchased for anywhere from $350-$400. There are various amounts of time that these trips are available in for less money. Some of these guides will also offer lessons and refresher courses in bass fishing. They give you the opportunity to spend a day on the water with a bass fishing expert.

These guided trips are a great addition to any Florida getaway at an affordable price. You can either take the whole family, or split off by yourself instead of going shopping. There are many South Florida bass fishing guides to choose from, we suggested this one because of it’s #1 ranking on Google. They should be able to find a fishing adventure that suits your needs and preferences. There is an abundance of information online about many of these services. Take your time and research them before making your choice. Make sure you book as far in advance as you can, because many of the South Florida bass fishing guides book up quickly, especially during vacation season.

Other great reasons to book a fishing trip in the South Florida area include the weather and the number of other things to do in the area. Not to mention that it is some of the best bass fishing in the country, whether you use a guide or not.

Peacock Bass Fishing Report, Florida

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

South Florida Peacock bass Today I had out Meck Austin from Kansas City, Mo. Meck is here on business and staying at one of our popular Ft Lauderdale hotels and wanted to get for a half day of Peacock bass fishing.

We started around 6:30am and headed out to the fishing spot, knowing Meck only had a few hours we went right to the best fish I had. Once on the water and going through a few sample cast with Meck, he was all over the peacock bass. Almost four cast in a row, Meck had peacock bass on and was loving it!

About two hours into the trip Meck looks at me and says, “how about after the next fish we start heading back.” So, I looked up the bank and said, “cast right by that pipe.” and he did. Almost instantly he was hooked up for yet another Peacock bass fishing picture.

We boated 15 Peacock bass and spent less then 2 1/2 hours on the water. So, it’s safe to say, “if you have a few hours and your on business in the South Florida area” give me a call, let’s “hook up” for a few hours and go fishing.

Florida bass fishing in the Everglades!

Friday, June 6th, 2008

Tom Smith fishing Everglades  Today, I had out bass fishing Tom Smith from New Jersey and one of his college buddies Shawn from Boston for a day of bass fishing in the Everglades. There were five of them down in the Ft Lauderdale area, basically they were partying and hanging out. So a couple of them decided to get out on the water, see a few alligators and catch some Florida bass. The wind was blowing around 15 to 20 mph so they were really glad they didn’t choose to go offshore saltwater fishing. They said, “man it would have been bad.” This is one of the nice things about South Florida freshwater fishing, it’s aways a good com day!

We decided to start out on one of my schooling bass spots, so even that these two were a little hung over still, we got them in the mode of catching bass right away with fast action. It was one after another for probably the first 45 minutes, oh yes…did I mention that it was all on top water. Once the action slowed we settled in and started throwing Everglades frogs, jerkbaits and plastics. Shawn was the hero today with a few fish just over 4 lbs, while Tom was the one at the end of the day to loose a trophy Florida largemouth bass that would have been in the 6 to 7lb range by the looks of her as she jumped to freedom.

This day produced 1 to 4 lb bass most all day, with the total being in the 50′s.

Remember we are the largest Florida bass fishing guide service in the state, so you are always guarrenteed a successful trip with our NO FISH, NO PAY Policy. Whether you are in Orlando, Central Florida area fishing Lake Toho or fishing world famous Lake Okeechobee are maybe experiencing the hard fighting Peacock bass while visiting South Florida.

I look forward to talking fishing with all of you!

Florida Everglades Fishing, Day 3 of 3

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Evverglade bass fishingToday I had back, Mike Sr. & Jr for day 3 day of there Florida bass fishing experience. I wanted the guys to get the full ever glades experience, so we decided to do a little something different.

We spent the morning out on the marsh flats of the Everglades throwing topwater frogs and getting all kinds of action. It’s quite fun, you can see the fish roaming all over and chasing our baits down from 20 yards away. Mike Jr hooked up on a real good bass first thing and it got stuck in all the thick vegetation. By the time we got to the bass, it had shaken off (it was a good one).

The rest of the day was good, they caught 25 to 30 fish with the big one right at 5lbs. I had a blast with these to guys, I can see a great summer of fishing in South Florida.

So come on down and book a trip with me!

Good fishin,
