Another good day of fishing for peacock bass in Miami, Florida . Today I took out Larry and his friends Brett from Missouri. On the way down to Miami they told me there sons where going to meet us later around noon time . So, I took the parents out first and we crushed the fish by noon. We had 17 peacocks in the boat when the kids arrived, the parents left to go explore South Florida so I took the kids back in to the canal system for a different look and new experience new ways of catching the peacock bass. When we arrived to the location I saw the water looking a little different so I went to a couple of spots inside a small lake and we didn’t catch anything. So, I left and went to another location and found them stacked up. The kids proceeded just to ware them out. All in all, a great day of peacock bass fishing. The lessoned learned today about peacock bass, never stop hunting them because they move like the wind!
Thank you for coming out with me Brett, Larry, Jonathan and Bryce

Today I had the pleasure of taking out one of our Lake Okeechobee guide Mark Shepard and his regular repeat customer Alan from Hilton Head, SC. They called me the night before to see if I could take them out for the day peacock bass fishing and if coarse, I said okay. So, I met them in the morning at the bait and tackle shop. When we got to our location Alan, like a lot of people did not know this type of fishing was even available in Miami. Mark said, “just wait your about to get your arms ripped off from these fish. ” Alan and Mark always fish artificial so that is what we did. By the end of the day we had caught over 40 peacocks on artificial lures only. This was an awesome day to say the least, I hope to see Alan again real soon for another great day of Peacock bass fishing in South Florida.

Today I had out Meck Austin from Kansas City, Mo. Meck is here on business and staying at one of our popular Ft Lauderdale hotels and wanted to get for a half day of Peacock bass fishing.
We started around 6:30am and headed out to the fishing spot, knowing Meck only had a few hours we went right to the best fish I had. Once on the water and going through a few sample cast with Meck, he was all over the peacock bass. Almost four cast in a row, Meck had peacock bass on and was loving it!
About two hours into the trip Meck looks at me and says, “how about after the next fish we start heading back.” So, I looked up the bank and said, “cast right by that pipe.” and he did. Almost instantly he was hooked up for yet another Peacock bass fishing picture.
We boated 15 Peacock bass and spent less then 2 1/2 hours on the water. So, it’s safe to say, “if you have a few hours and your on business in the South Florida area” give me a call, let’s “hook up” for a few hours and go fishing.

Today I had out return customer Bob and his friend Steve from popular Danbury, CT. Last time down they fished with Capt Mark Shepard on Lake Okeechobee and had great success on wild shiners. So today I decided t take them deep in to the Everglades for some fast action largemouth bass on artificial baits.
First thing in the morning we were checked by the Broward County sheriffs, really nice guy. He checked everything, including Florida fishing license…hey and we passed with flying colors. After blasting off, we slowed and landed at the first location starting with topwater action. I don’t know if it was the morning bite that we missed or the full moon, but there was not much of a topwater bite at all. Sometimes, you just need to go with the flow and not try to force feed them and that’s just what we did.
After a few line size adjustments, we found the combination that worked. once again our Danbury, CT crew had another successful trip boating around 25 bass in 4 hours. For all of you guys and girls in CT, we really appreciate all the support and business you provide us.
Cannot wait to see these two back for another round, we had a great time!
I look forward to talking fishing with all of you!

Today I have the pleasure of taking Frank and Shawn from Philly, PA. They are fishing with us for three days, today they decided to go after peacock bass in Miami.
The early morning was the best bite on artifical lures, I have not seen it this good in a while. We caught a few peacocks in the lakes and decided to move to some other spot that I have been producing numbers for me. When we got there, the bite was on with shiners. As the day went on, the rains started to get really bad. So, we went to take shelter at a bridge and while we were waiting we decided to fish under it. Great move, first we hooked a snook and then tarpon. The rain never slowed down, so we decided to call it a day. I do have Frank and Shawn for two more days. Today we ended with 14 peacocks, 1 tarpon, 1 snook and 1 largemouth.
