We fished February 8, with Mike Power from Darden Restaurants, Inc in Orlando, Florida. This was there first experience at fishing the big Lake Toho and by the pictures a very good one.
It started off a great work week for them, Mike caught a 9lb and 9.5lb not a bad for a Monday morning.
We appreciate your business and look forward to fishing with you in the future.
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Jeannie & Bruce Barash from New York were vacationing in Orlando enjoying a local bass fishing adventure.
You just know some people are dentin to get blessed by the “all mighty fish gods,” no matter how odd or unbelievable the situation becomes the angler prevails.
Jeannie and Bruce are just that couple, while tossing a shiner out on a free line, we notice the second line crossed the first. The first line got a bite and the shiner on the second line wrapped around the first. “WOW, is that confusing or what.”
So, Bruce sets the hook on the second line, minutes later Jeannie start to reel a fish in on the first line. Bruce has contact with his fish and it’s fighting incredibility hard, mean while Jeannie fish is starting to take drag. Both at the same time, both fighting and pulling like it’s the biggest fish in the lake.
At almost identically times, both fish get near the boat. Bruce cranks his up close, we see the fish..it’s a nice 6+ pound bass. Jeannie is reeling with all her might to land her fish. As Bruce gets his fish in the net, we noticed that Jeannie’s “fish” fishing line is hooked on Bruce’s line.
So, awesome catch for Bruce and false alarm for Jeannie. But as Bruce later described, “for 40 seconds it was the catch of Jeannie life,”… as we all laughed together!
As the day progressed and the catching continued, several other big fish were caught by both Jeannie and Bruce to top off there day of fishing in Orlando. Pictures prove both of them caught trophy bass in November on Lake Toho outside of Orlando Florida.

We appreciate your business and look forward to fishing with you in the future.
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Ronda and Ed McCoy from Wichita, Kansas came on-board for a bass fishing excursion of a life time.
The McCoy’s just wanted to catch one fish and if it weighed 10 pounds they would be satisfied. That’s a request we get a lot, unfortunately the fish don’t always agree with us!
When making there reservation the reservation office told the McCoy’s that a 10 pound bass was a tall order to complete, no matter what time of the year they fished. With the October moon behind us and the record heat index, not to mention the blue bird sky’s it makes for a very large order to fill. Ed said to them, “to catch a trophy, I was willing to take on anything.” We were quick to share with him a few of our secrets to doing so. First, you have to choose the right lake and right now it’s Lake Toho. He responded by saying, “let’s go Toho.”
The second secret was choosing the right fishing guide, there’s a lot of good guides on Lake Toho but only a hand full catch trophy bass consistently all year round and Captain John Leech is one of the best in the business. With out hesitation he responded, “Capt John’s my Man.”
I love trips like these, a great day on the water starts with making friends in the morning which was as easy as shaking hands when I picked them up at the Ramada Inn. We loaded the boat with big wild shiners and off to the BIG BASS waters we went. A little instructions at the beginning and let the fishing begin. They caught the first fish, the second fish, then another and another then the first 5 pounder hit. The next fish was 8 pounds, I think at this point Ed and Ronda were happy with the outcome. The next fish would prove to be the top bass of the day, weighting in at just over 10 pounds. They were no longer just happy, but simply loss for words ecstatic is more like it.
“This made the day for me,” replied Captain John. I also learned a few things, as a avid billiards player. Ed being a pro in the game, he shared a few tidbits to improve my pool game.
Overall a real great day for everyone!
Remember we have great “Specials for all Inclusive Packages” just let us know what you need.
We appreciate your business and look forward to fishing with you in the future.

Matthew Becks was wondering around Bass Pro Shop with his wife on their customer appreciation rewards night when his wife hit the jack pot by winning the free guided fishing trip that was given away. Yes, Mathew’s wife Colleen Beck won the freshwater bass fishing trip given by Bass Pro for Customers Appreciation rewards night.
Coleen the loving wife she is, gave the trip to her husband and favorite Uncle George. So, Mathew and Uncle George became the lucky Anglers that are going fishing on Lake Toho known for producing trophy bass.
Finally the day arrives and the fish did what they do EAT, 26 largemouth bass with a big fish of 4 pounds graced the line which made it a day to remenber. The only thing that would have improved the day would have been to have landed the other 15 plus we missed in the grass or maybe a 10 pounder.
Well that’s why they call it fishing…and not catching.
Thanks Matthew, George and especially Colleen!
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

I was fortunate to be able to fish with Captain John Leech this past Monday. My niece and her husband won a trip while in Orlando visiting Bass Pro Shops during the preferred rewards customer appreciation night. They both knew how much I love to fish, so they invited me to go on the guided fishing trip. I drove up from Port Charlotte where I love to fish Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf, and met my nephew. Captain John was at our meeting place when we both arrived. To be honest I haven’t fish for bass since the mid 80’s in Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron, so I was very excited about this opportunity.
Captain John was a great guide, he taught us how to use plastic lures, put us on fish, was very friendly and an all around nice guy. What a day we had, great weather, fishing and good company, I couldn’t ask for more. I would love to fish with John again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a super fishing experience.
I would like to thank Bass Pro Shops for this trip and of course my niece for asking…
