Today I took out Hale White and his wife from Thompson, Tenn., what a great young couple. The day started off with a monster explosion that got away, I would say it was 8 to 9 pounds by the look of it. After that loss, it took a bit to re-group and start fishing again.
Every spot we hit produced a couple of good fish. We only spent 4 hours on the water, we boated around 15 fish total with a 5 pound kicker bass.
It was a very exiting morning to say the least, even when I was loading up the boat Hale caught a 3 pounder at the boat ramp. Great job guys, hope to see you again real soon!

This week we had Joe and Athena Mitchell from the Bronx in New York fishing with us, I had the pleasure of spending the last 2 days with them. Day 1 with me we went down to Miami for the hard fighting peacock bass.
This couple are long time repeat customer and a blast to fish with, we had a pretty good day boating about 16 peacock bass. Right at the end of the day Joe hooked into a tarpon that was about 25 to 30 pounds, he got to fight this fish for about 5 minutes. Just when the fight was about over, the line nicked the prop on the outboard and broke off. The tarpon jumped 4 times and gave us a great aerial show.
On day 2 we went to Lake Ida to do something a little different. The day started of hot and ended pretty good, they boated 25 fish with a 6 pound kicker large-mouth bass. I think this was Joe’s personal biggest bass ever!

I’m looking forward to seeing them again in March, maybe Joe can break his record again.

Today I had a little break on the sunrise to sunset trips and changed out with Capt Tony another one of our guides. I took out Casey and Allison from St Paul, MN which were down on there honeymoon…Congratulations!
So we went out in the Everglades to catch a big Florida largemouth bass, with the bass being a little sluggish on the back side of the summer moon we had to work a little harder at fishing but we managed to catch a Florida trophy bass a little over 5 pounds for the honeymooners.
Hope they enjoyed it as much as I did…thanks guys!

Well all I can say for this day Phillip and I went out to search for new water and had another excellent day of fishing for large mouth bass on this day. I managed to get Phillip his largest bass ever, it weighed in at 6 pounds on this day as we caught more largemouth then he had ever caught.
Most of the areas were good fishing, but water management has recently sprayed some areas so we had to move around to other locations. We found everything had to do with water conditions and the fish could be caught!

Hello everybody its been awhile, I have been on the road a lot and it sure is good to fish at home. The lake “Okeechobee” that is, is looking great and I am going out on the limb by saying this could be one of the best winters in the last 10 years.
There is more cover(vegetation) to fish than I have ever remember. The cover is a little different than the past years, there is going to be a lot of adventures this year as we try to follow and locate these big bass…the up side is we should have plenty of water to ourselves.
Just getting back from New York fishing Lake Champlain on the FLW tour, a beautiful lake good fishing but it’s nice to see Florida largemouth again, there giants here compared to Champlain. Today, I fished with Harry Swauger and his father both are very good fishermen with baitcasters and/or spinning reels, today they were on top of there game. We fished the glades and caught good size fish most of the day. The biggest fish of the day was 9lb largemouth, it sure is good to see how healthy Florida bass are.
Well, I hate to run, but I have to go to Clarks Hill for the last FLW series tournament of the year. I will be back in about two weeks, I hope to bring some of the cooler weather with me. If we get some cool weather while I am gone that will be the thing to fire these fish up!
Until then good fishing…If you are visiting South or Central Florida for work or vacation and want to experience the best fishing that there is to offer then please give me a call. We can be reached @ (888) 629-BASS or email me below.

Today I had the pleasure of taking more of our repeat customers that have been coming to us for over 6 years.
What a good group of people, Joe and Athena Mitchell for the Bronx in NY are on a 3 day package trip. They selected one of the many discounted trips we offer, as we are known for our excellent service and great value with in the industry. The 3 days will be split up through the week, tomorrow they go out with Capt Tony another great bassonline guide on our staff.
We spent our day catching fish most of the day and having an excellent time until the thunder storms came in and we had to leave, here’s a good picture of a good time we all had.
Here’s an email we received late that evening from Joe & Athena,
Just wanted to drop you a line to say how much we enjoyed our trip with Capt Brett yesterday. He was knowledgeable, a lot of fun, had a great sense of humor was very attentive- simply put, all the qualities and service that we have come to expect and rely on as repeat customers, fortunately, we are never disappointed.
We will forward our photos as soon as they are available.
Thanks Again, Athena and Joe Mitchell

Today I had the pleasure of taking out Bruce, Craig, Lance and Josh from Cooper City, Florida.
They really weren’t sure where they waned to go fishing, so they left it up to me. I decided to go deep in the Everglades, as they really wanted to catch a trophy large mouth bass. An boy, did we do exactly that… catching a lot of bass was the boys dream and it was the boys best day of fishing they had ever had using worms and shiners as our tools.
What a cool picture!

Day two with the Rinaldi Family was a adventure, it started off in the Florida Everglades . Which turned out really bad , “I know fishing guides are not suppose to say that, but tell the way it is,” The recent rains from tropical storm fay have just got the bass in the Everglades all spread out with all the water that has fallen.
When we got to our first location, I saw immediately how much the water has came up in the Everglades. So, I said “I have something better then the Everglades right now.” We headed to a private lake that we have and ended up catching really nice bass, “like the one in the picture to the right!”
We also had a fantastic day of peacock bass fishing and few tarpon which the boys had a great time with and so did I. It was great to watching everyone, especially the boys catching fish all day long.
Thanks once again to the Rinaldi family, the trips just seem to keep getting better!
See ya real soon,

Today I took out Brian McCully and his girlfriend from Wallingford, Pa. Brian wanted to experience the Everglades flats fishing, so of we went way out in the everglades flats. Brian was mostly interested in try to get top water bites, so I we tied multi able different buzz frogs and some hollow body frogs as well..
Right at the very beginning Brian’s girlfriend had a “big” bass try to grab her buzz frog. This fish kept trying to get her bait all the way back to the boat, when it saw almost at the boat it turned and swam into a clump of weeds. Everyone got to see the fish turn and swim away, I would be guessing that it would have went 8 to 9lbs. The rest of the day was kind of slow but they wound up boating 5 or 6 largemouth bass.
With all of the recent rain the water came way up. I think once things stabilize out there the bite will be red hot in the flats!
