Lake Jackson is a Blast for Bass Fishing

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

I had the great pleasure of having the Place Family out on the boat to do some bass fishing out on Lake Jackson, and folks let me tell you what, we had a blast! Not only did everyone catch some good numbers of bass,
but quality bass as well. The best part was, they normally fish saltwater, so this was a new experience for them, and the bass definitely did not let them down.

Best  bait of choice was wild shiners, and not only were the bass pouncing on their live bait, they were even hammering the shiners that were dead and had already caught bass! This was definitely a great day out on the water with over 30 bass being boated and some great memories being made. This will be a trip they will definitely never forget.

Brett was an amazing guide. He treated my wife and I VERY well. I wanted you to know he most certainly exceeded our expectations of what we thought the “ideal” experience and guide would be. THANK YOU!

Summer Time on Lake Okeechobee

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011
The fishing on Lake Okeechobee has been a blast with great top water action on lite line. If you like to fish top water summer time is the time to do it with schools of bass feeding on bait fish this makes for explosive action. The water is low and makes a  great day for fishing the Lake.  The fishing on Lake Okeechobee  is the best in the would.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Bass Fishing Lake Kerr in June

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011
A Great day for fishing for Mr. Parimucha and his 9 year old son Joe! This trip was only a 4 hour guide but action packed which is always fun!
We met at 6:30am and launched at 7:00am on Lake Kerr in the Ocala National Forest. We fished the south east side of the lake. I rigged some shiners off the back of the boat and we started throwing some worms around to docks and grass line to see what the bass were biting on. Mr. Parimucha said that he and his son had never caught a bass on a plastic worm and wanted to give it a shot.
We started catching bass almost immediately on the soft plastic worms! The bass seemed to be more interested in the worms than they did the live shiners! We ended up catching 6 – 8 bass on the worms and only one on shiners the whole trip! There were at least another 6+ fish that bit but were missed.
Mr Parimucha caught a few nice fish in the 2 1/2 lb range and his son Joe caught a bunch including a nice bass in the 3lb as you can see in the photos! We had a good day on the water and a lot of fun. They were hoping to catch a bass on a plastic worm and their mission was accomplished many times over!

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
