Lake Jackson Bass Fishing in May

Friday, May 27th, 2011

Wild shiners have been catching the major of bass on Lake Jackson.  Steve came out with us today for a couple hours for Florida’s best bass fishing.  Steve caught all with artificial lures and he caught his new personal best just over 6lbs on a senko type bait, had a great day. This toad did a lot of jumping and put on a great show for Steve today. Early morning bite remains the best action as things will slow down some close to high noon. This does not mean fishing is off, just means we slow down the presentation and target certain areas a little harder to keep catching the bass!

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Lake Okeechobee What a Season for Fishing

Friday, May 27th, 2011

What a season,  there are so many good story’s to tell I cant keep up with it!  I can sure tell yea that the fishing was the best I ever seen on Lake Okeechobee this year.  I sure enjoyed being part of so many nice peoples vacations.  I meet a lot of great folks this year and got to see many of my old clients and won a tournament with one of them. I got some pictures to share I hope you enjoy.  Most of the fish that were caught were in the 6lb to 8 lbs, class fish this means that next year this giant group of fish well be bigger. The fish in this lake gain 1lb plus a year, so the fishing on Lake Okeechobee  is the best in the would.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Tripbase Award 2011 For Best Fishing Blogs Bass Online

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

We are Honor to accept Tripbase Award this year.

This awards category is for the best fishing blogs of 2011. To compile it, we scoured the Internet for the most passionate fishing and angling blogs out there which guide readers through the many types of fishing and angling vacation.

Whether you’re a newbie trying to work out how rod licences work or an accomplished fly fisherman looking for a helicopter tour of Russia’s salmon lakes, we’ve plucked only the best blogs from a very long list of possibilities.

All the blogs we encountered were brimming with enthusiasm – fishermen and anglers are devoted to their passion. We have had to select the blogs based on their ability to express this passion in a clear and educational way. We’ve given preference to blogs which provide photographs, even if they are just of men holding large fish. We’ve also given preference to the angling blogs which describe the sites and the surrounding area, ideally noting the nearby pubs and amenities available to fishermen.

Below is the final list of award winners. We hope that you’ll find them enlightening if you’re just starting out and edifying if you’ve got a few years experience under your belt. This is your first port of call on the way to angling heaven.

Lake Kerr in May Bass Fishing

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011
I took Philip Polter and his son out for a half day trip on Lake Kerr on Friday morning. We hit the water at 8:00 am and started catching bass right away! His son was 11 years old and boy was he thrilled to be reeling so many bass in especially his 3lb catch. Although it was only a 4 hour trip. he caught nearly 10 bass and his dad was trying his hardest to keep up with him! We had a great time and a ton of fun, great day overall.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
