To conserve and improve Florida’s premier freshwater fisheries for residents and visitors, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has been working with the public to develop a long-term Black Bass Management Plan. The FWC seeks public review and comment on the first draft of the Plan to contribute your input, go to MyFWC.com/BassPlan_survey.
Conserving and managing freshwater fish in Florida represents more than good fishing and eating. The economy benefits as well because Florida produces many of the world’s best bass fisheries. Bass anglers spend more than 14 million days each year here and generate $1.25 billion for the state’s economy. (more…)

Hi I’m Captain Mark Shepard from Clewiston, Florida and it’s great to be back home on Lake Okeechobee. Onboard with Steve, Donna Milam and Sandy Meredith all from Louisville, Kentucky. The fishing on the lake has been great, especially now with cooler temperatures rolling in. We started out fishing the edges of the grass with topwaters baits when the morning light is low or pitch worms & jig into the vegetation when the sun is shining. The first cast Steve catches a 3lb Okeechobee bass, and before I could hand the other rods to Donna & Sandy.

Hello everyone this is Captain Kip from Orlando, Florida.
Just wanted everyone to know how the fishing was today. I took Lo Thao,Pao Vamg and Mike Xiong fishing this morning in the private lakes .
fishing was good we caught 27 fish up to 3 1/2 pounds..We caught fish all through our 6 hour trip. Fish were all deep 15 foot to 28 foot of water. We caught all the fish on texas rigged worms on a 1/4 oz Florida rig. Every fish except 2 fish came on junebug the other 2 were on watermelon. Lo Thao resident or Oldsmar, Florida said that was one of the best fishing trips he’s had to date. Great job guys, can’t wait to fish with you again. Check out my website http://bassfishingguideorlando.com/ , for more information on Orlando bass fishing.
We are looking forward to fishing with you in the future.
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
