Bass Fishing Lake Okeechobee for Largemouths!

DEAN Duprey and Warren 2 febDEAN Duprey and Warren feb

We fished February 5 & 6 with Dean Duprey and Warren from Canada. These guys love to fish and are avid anglers!  Dean and Warren spent a couple days on Lake Okeechobee and couple days with Capt Brett Isackson in the Everglades.

Fishing on lake Okeechobee has been very good when the weather is not to cold or windy. As we look forward to approaching the best weather of the year over the next 6 months. As of right now we will fight  cold fronts, the fishing is strong and as we go throught the coming moons phases the fish start to spawn. The new moon to the full are the best and as the water warms it gets stronger.

In the pictures above are a few fish caught by Dean and Warren, we caught a lot of numbers 1 to 3 pounds with some kickers all on light tackle, it was great! NO LIVEBAIT NEEDED

I had a great time with these guys, I hope to see them soon again.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Well Dean and his freind Wayne came in today for two days of Everglades fishing with me, and two days fishing on the Lake Okeechobee with Captain Mark Shepard.

With our two days in the glades trip we caught over 70 fish per day, up to four pounds fishing an assortment of artifical lures, from Senkos, Spinner baits, Swimbaits and Jigs.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing is On!

M Macpherson febM Macpherson feb-1

FEB 2, 2010 on-board with Malcolm McPherson from Summit, New Jersey.

The weather was misty in the mornig but nice and calm. We were able to enjoy some site fishing for alittle while the water is crystal clear.

Later that morning it started to rain so we started throwing swimbaits, frogs and flukes, had good action most all day. I sure injoyed the day with Malcolm he is a good fisherman.

As the weather gets more stable you can expect a lot of good fishing adventures on Okeechobee this season. The last 3 years we have had monster spawns and every moon brings a new wave of fish to the shallows and the numbers of fish that this lake has pruduced is amazing.

The bass factory is up and running strong!

We appreciate your business and look forward to fishing with you in the future.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
