What a beautiful Sunday in October, on-board with Mike and Rob Paulsen. These guys came from Mickey Mouse land in Orlando to hunt for the famous Peacock Bass.
Peacock Bass are one of the toughest fighting freshwater species in the world. They break line and destroy tackle, testing your skill and equipment. Mike and Rob managed to capture the exotic bass by throwing artificial lures and pitching rattle traps.
They had a successful split-day of fishing, four hours in the morning taking lunch and coming back for more hard fighting Peacocks in the afternoon. The Peacocks are a lot of fun and must do for all anglers wanting to experience the power of a peacock bass.
The Orlando guys caught peacock bass up to five pounds, which is one heck of a fight! The drive from Orlando was well worth the adventure for these Peacock Bass anglers.
We look forward to taken them out again, I just don’t know who got more hooked. The fish or Mike and Rob!
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

I was off to the Florida Everglades with the Guerrera Brothers from Danbury Connecticut. What a gorgeous morning in October, with blue bird sky’s. Sometimes those clear sky days are tough, and only a true anglers are the ones that reel in the fish and that’s just what happened.
Using artificial baits we caught few first thing in the morning, but live bait is what caught the bigger ones. We also caught several nice bass by worming the bottom.
On hot Florida days, water temperature are at there highest, so the fish hang around deeper waters. The Guerrera brothers even caught Peacock Bass in the Everglades on this trip. We are starting to see more and more Peacocks in the Everglades, hopefully this will not create problems for the largemouth population.
We look forward to taken them out again, remember Florida Everglades is rated #1 in Florida for numbers of fish caught per hour. Fishing is awesome in the Everglades and one of the best way to experience the abundant wildlife of the Everglades!
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Eagle tangled in fishing line seen around Bonita Springs, public’s help sought-By VALLI FINNEY
BONITA SPRINGS — Most everyone knows the majestic bald eagle likes to fish.
But one seen flying over Bonita Springs may have difficulties doing what comes naturally because reports show it has an estimated 200 feet of monofilament line hanging from it.
And that has wildlife rehabilitation experts concerned the symbol of America may become incapacitated or even die if not found.
It also gives wildlife officials a chance to let the public know this isn’t a one-time occurrence. Many animals suffer from fishing line injuries each year; some die or are too badly injured to return to the wild.
Too read the complete article:

Please, from all of us at BASSonline just a reminder not to leave fishing line laying in your boat to blow out. If you break off in the lilly pads as we all do on occasion, make a valid effort to retrieve the excess line and always depose of your line properly.
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Sunday October 4, 2009,
Captain Brett and I had repeat customers once again today, Villella Family a party of 5 to experience the ultimate Everglades Adventure.
The Villella’s, Frank and Tony are from South West Ranches in South Florida and go out a couple of times of year with me. They are a great group, always entertaining and we have a lot of fun on every trip.
It was a great day today, they caught a bunch of fish. The family had three bass over 5lbs and few smaller ones that were in the three to four pound range. The unexpected was the peacock bass, we boated countless peacocks in a short 4 hour trip.
A very exciting morning for everyone, who would have guested Peacocks bass in the Everglades a true South Florida fishing Adventure!.
Thanks Villella Family
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Lake Toho on Saturday Oct 3, 2009, I had Pastor Grady Coven on board for some Bass Fishing in Orlando. Pastor Grady is from Alabama and very familiar with fishing for largemouth bass.
To start the day Pastor Grady said his prayer, Lord just give me one big fish and I will be happy, Amen.
It was a beautiful day and the Pastor landed quite a few fish and one trophy as seen above.
The Lake Toho monster bass weighted in at 8 1/2 pounds and the blessing for the day was answered.
Also noted, for a 8 1/2 pound bass it was a big thick specimen of a Florida largemouth, a real healthy summertime fish.
We appreciate your business and look forward to fishing with in the future.
