Everglades Fishing

Today  I had the pleasure of taking out two brothers Pete and Walter Lagonowicz from Miami, Florida .

When we got out to our location in the Everglades, the wind was really blowing hard. We started off in the morning throwing worms made by JDC Bait  Company,  they make some really great fishing products.  It was a little tough at times to feel the bite,  but we manged to pick up a couple of two and three pound fish.

The  morning was a successful fishing  excursion  for  Pete and Walter catching over forty Largemouth Bass on their adventure.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Peacocks Bass Fishing – Miami, Florida

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Today I fished with Dr. David Pashley and some of his partners. They decided to go after peacock bass with the air temperatures raising and the water warming up I anticipated a good day.

As I expected, the peacock bass bite was on for the Pashley group. We moved around to several locations and picked away at the peacock bass with artificial lures and by the end of day we caught over (25) twenty five peacock bass.

The highlight of the trip was David catch this monster (7lb) seven pound peacock bass.

Congratulations David!

2 Days Florida Fishing with the Teutul Family

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Capt Tony Masiello here again,

I just spent the weekend fishing with Orange County Choppers, Paul Teutul and his wife Beth.

Paul & Beth Teutul with Florida Peacock Bass

We started off in the Everglades for large mouth bass and man did they catch them good. It was one after the other, by the end of the day they boated 45 fish up to 5 lbs. The first day trip was a huge success, even the bikers at Holiday Park could not get enough of Paul and Beth. As they found out, he is such a great guy taking time to talk with everyone.

Day 2, we went down to Miami for the mighty peacock bass. His sons were down several times and really had a good time fishing for the peacock bass, so Paul has been itching to catch one. So since them, Paul has been wanting to tango with a peacock bass for a couple of years now, but each time he was down the conditions where never right for the bedding fish.

This time, the timing was right and we had a great day. Paul’s first peacock was about 3 lbs, while he was fighting his first peacock he looked up at me and said holly s_ _ _. It was on, the rest off the day was awesome. They boated 25 to 30 peacock bass in just 4 hours of fishing.

After that, we decided to enjoy a nice lunch at the water side cafe. The whole weekend was a blast and if your interested, the Teutul family truly are humble and down to earth people. Just the type of people you like for customers, but even more so as friends.

Looking forward to fishing with Paul this summer!

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Everglades with Steve and Joe

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Joe & Steve

Joe & Steve

Today I had long time repeat customers Steve Rhodes and his best fishing buddy Joe out in the Florida Everglades at the end of March.  Steve is a resident of Boca Raton, Fl and has been going out with me for a few years now.

This time out Steve wanted to break his own personal record of weighting in the most Bass for the day. So, we went to Holiday Park to try to make it happen hunting for Trophy Largemouth.  We caught a boat load of bass, a couple were 5lbs  with the biggest weighting in at  6.5 lbs.  It was an awesome  morning with about 30 fish total and a great day for Steve that broke  his record for size largemouth Bass.  Can’t wait for him to come back for that 7lb Bass.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
