Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Shane and Lena from Charlotte, NC.

When we started our adventure in the Everglades Shane told me how he is experienced at bass fishing and fishes the FLW at times. I told them they were in for a really good time, the fishing is red hot that we could catch up to 50 or 100 fish today.

As it goes in the Everglades, they caught 60 plus fish today. As you can tell by the smiles on there faces, the Everglades did not disappoint anyone once again.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Everglades Holiday Park Bass Fishing

Today was a good day in the Everglades for fishing, I fished with long time repeat customer Jim Anthis from Syracuse, NY .

Jim came down for a short visit to see his mom and me of coarse…haha. I received a last minute call, can we get out for a short trip in the Everglades?

I told him all about the fishing and how the water is dropping which makes the catching good numbers of fish a sure thing. Plus the quality fish are also biting on artificial lures, so we decided to start our journey out in the Everglades.

We only had a short time fame to fish, but we still managed to catch over 30 fish up to four pounds.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Peacock Bass Fishing on Lake Ida

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

What a good day on the water with with Shirley Carter and her husband Jessie from Hinsville, GA . The couple was out for two days, one peacock bass fishing and one out in the Everglades.

The peacock bass fishing was a very good day, Shirley and Jessie requested to fish with artificial lures only. Knowing these fish, I still suggested getting a few shiners just in case. We had a incredibly wet day ahead of us and I did not know how it may affect the peacock bass fishing. So, she agreed we pick up two dozen and off we went on our way to Lake Ida in hunt of the mighty peacock bass.

When we got there I really didn’t now what to expect, I was just hoping we could get in the day with such bad weather in the forecast. Lone be hold, the peacock bass were just where I thought they would be. As unpredictable as they are, they reacted just as I thought…maybe it’s me, just maybe I am starting to think like a peacock bass. Eitherway it worked out really well, by the end of day we lost count on how many peacock we caught…but I know it was well over 30 all on artificial lures.
