My dad and I had a great expedition on Monday.  Thanks for your guidance, experise, and good humor.   We enjoyed Lake Ida, and the related neighborhood waterways.  We had a beautiful day it turn out to be.

When I visit my folks again next year I will find time to fish with you again!

 Great thing about Lake Ida is it’s a great fishing location for Peacocks or Largemouth not to mention that the fishery is located conveniently in Palm Beach County.   Anyone not wanting to travel to Lake Okeechobee or Everglades can have a great day fishing at Lake Ida.

December 28, my second fishing trip that day I had Henry Weitzman and buddy out for a half day adventure. They managed to boat a few nice bass, with the biggest bass of day weight-in at 6lbs.

I just wanted to take time to send you a couple pictures and thank you.

Allen was great!  We talked several times leading up to today’s trip.  Sunday
we talked, and Allen let me know that the bite would probably be very stingy
today, but he thought we could still catch fish at Saddle Creek.

True to his word we had a hard time figuring the fish out today, but Allen
did everything he could to put me on some fish.  He worked hard for his
money today.  We didn’t get a large number of fish in the boat, but we did
catch one huge fish, which we estimated at 9+ pounds, which is by far the
biggest fish I have ever caught by far.  I let another at least this big or
bigger get away before we got it to the boat.  Allen was also a lot of fun
and taught me a lot about bass fishing that I can use at home, although I
don’t know if I will be able to find a fish like this at home.

I had a great time and it was well worth the money.

On December 28,  Monday I had Otey from Ottawa IA visiting Family in Florida for the Holiday. I met Otey at Philips Bait & Tackle and took him to Saddle Creek.  We threw lures, crankbaits and used carolina rigs.  This guy had a great time and caught his biggest bass.

On December 27, Danny and Carlo Duadagno residents of Miami wanted some Everglades bass action. This trip was complements of Carlo wife Tressy.

The day started out okay, with fish being caught on artificial bait up to 5lbs.  As the day went on it pickup and we landed 15 nice largemouths in just 4 short hours.  Carlo and Danny will be back for some more bass action in the Everglades for sure!.

Dec 23, 2009  had Jim Beckham onboard for a Peacock bass fishing trip. The day started out little slow, but once those exotic hard fighting Peacocks start to bit, it just became an exhilarating day.

Jim and Steve caught 16 peacocks up to 3 lbs in a 6 hr trip.
